How do you stop the Donald? He’s bigger than Bush! So what’s the Donald’s secret?
My theory is that he’s the first, and so far the only, Republican to go full xenophobe. Sure, everyone hates illegal immigrants, but, since Reagan, free trade has been a mantra among Republicans. Now the Donald has dared to change that tune. Jobs for Americans, damn it, jobs for Americans!

There’s a believable argument to be made that Trump is actually helping Bush. By destroying all the other “I’m not Bush” candidates, Trump will make it a two-man race that, facing the weight of the entire Republican establishment, he can’t win. The big downside is that if Trump’s ego gets fully involved—if he feels Bush is screwing him—he could wreck the Republican Party for the next four years.
