Fantastic! Dizzy Gillespie with the T.S. Monk Orchestra—“Little Rootie Tootie”
Gillespie in excellent form, and the band sounds good too! “T.S. Monk,” Thelonious’ son, is on drums. The band plays a version of the Hall Overton arrangement worked out by Monk and Overton for the “famous” Town Hall concert waaay back in 1959, still my favorite “modern” big band sound ever.
