Well, newish. If you’re looking for visible changes in the site, there aren’t any. But I have added my latest novel, Traveling North: The Education of Alice Barnstable, to the “Books” page. You can read the first chapter of Alice and then, if you’re so inclined, click on a link that will take you to Amazon, where you can buy the whole thing. Scrolling down “Books” will let you do the same for my other books. At the bottom of the page, you can download free copies of Three Bullets, a collection of three novellas that recreate Nero Wolfe, Rex Stout’s orchid-fancying gourmet detective.
You can also check out an expanded and updated collection of “Topics”, aka “Golden Oldies” or “Longer Pieces”, which ramble on about everything from Flannery O’Connor to New York City nail salons. “Reviews”, a collection of links to my reviews of all the films of Charlie Chaplin and Fred Astaire, done for the Bright Lights Film Journal, has yet to be refreshed, but I will get to that, sometime.
