He doesn’t. Jon Stewart gets paid a lot of money to think up funny stuff about the news. But thanks to U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) he doesn’t have to. All he has to do is run clips of Barbara explaining his shtick on the floor of the U.S. Senate in the most clueless manner possible and throw in a few wisecracks at poor Bab’s expense. Boxer has been elected to the Senate four times. In 2004, running against weak opposition, she received 6.94 million votes, the highest vote count for any member of Congress in U.S. history.
