Not only am I back, I’m also a lot more stable than I was last week. Going a whole month without whining about incompetence in high places made me a little excitable, I guess—that, and the fact that the new design lets me write long headlines.
Anyway, I urge you to do a little exploring on this site. You can read excerpts from my two dead tree novels, Sherlock Holmes and the Giant Rat of Sumatra and Sherlock Holmes and the Hapsburg Tiara, as well as my free ebook, Three Bullets: A New Nero Wolfe Threesome. After which, you’ll want to order them, and you can do that too. The ebook is, obviously, downloadable, and a full-length audio version of the Hapsburg Tiara, read by the noted British actor Simon Vance, is as well. I will be expanding the book section in the near future with ebooks that you’ll have to pay for, because I’ll be writing in my own voice.
If you click on the “Jazz” link, you’ll find about 175 jazz videos. The “Reviews” link lets you access the reviews I wrote for the Bright Lights Film Journal, reviewing the films of Charlie Chaplin and Fred Astaire in their entirety. “Topics” features a bit of a hodge-podge of the less ephemeral pieces I’ve written for the blog over the past several years. All of which means that if my rant o’ the day doesn’t appeal to you, there’s something else to look at.
