Katy has been “helming” the Post for more than four years now, but today the Times is running a story on Katy headlined “The Next Edition Katharine Weymouth Takes Charge at the Washington Post” that contains next to nothing on the multiple incredible disasters that have befallen the Post since Katy took over but does contain about twenty column feet of backstory on Katy’s glittering, star-crossed childhood and early adult life, much of it taking place in Manhattan, which is, after all, much more important and interesting to read about than Katy’s multiple fiascos in dreary, present-day, Oscar de la Renta free D.C. On top of which, she’s a great cook!
Afterwords
The Times does, sportingly, link to a brutal takedown of Weymouth by Michael Wolff of the Guardian, who notes that the Post recently bought a furnace company, because, I guess, people will always need a place to burn stuff.
*So I’m predictable! So sue me!
