Poor Bob Woodward! He tries! He really does! Here’s what he told “Morning Joe” on Monday morning:
“Let’s call it what it is, they [the House Republicans] are trying to blackmail the president and say, ‘Look, we’re going to shut down the government or default on our debt unless you — we go back, rewind the clock, on Obamacare and delay it or somehow cut off the funding. You can’t govern that way. It will not work. It will be exposed.”
Impressive, right? But then, the strain began to tell. He had, somehow, to blame President Obama. It’s all his fault that the Republicans are trying to blackmail him. And even if it isn’t, he’ll get the blame for it, so that makes it his responsibility anyway.
“It’s on the president’s head. He’s got to lead. He’s got to talk. And the absence of discussion here, I think, is a baffling element.”
No, Bob. What’s baffling is that a total shithead like you is still considered “important.”
