I am not much of a fan of Woody Allen as an “artist” and, as a person, he comes off as an overprivileged prick. But, amazingly, I can still feel sorry for the guy, for a little while. Andrew Sullivan, who I believe at one time has occasionally argued for a right to privacy, has had this to say: “Just because Allen wasn’t charged doesn’t mean he was exonerated.”
At Slate, Dahlia Lithwick has explained why the “court of public opinion” is total bullshit.
Over six years ago, I speculated, in a NSFW manner, on the Woody-related reasons for Scarlett Johansson’s ascent to stardom.
