Famed NYT hitchick Maureen Dowd ever so accurately pegs Bill and Hillary Clinton as America’s modern-day Tom and Daisy Buchanan (read the whole hit here), but then piles on FBI Director James Comey’s pile-on, to wit:
“Instead of Clinton’s assurances that the server in the basement in Chappaqua had never been breached, Comey said it was possible that hostile actors had hacked Clinton’s email account.”
Well, yes. And it’s also possible that hostile actors had hacked Comey’s email account at the FBI. And they could have hacked the State Department’s email account as well, the one that Hillary was supposed to be using. Comey was engaging in speculation of the most banal sort. The FBI is supposed to find evidence of crimes that did happen, right? Not speculate on crimes that might have happened.
