OK, let me unpack that. Thiel is on record as saying that chicks shouldn’t be allowed to vote, because they don’t vote the way they should:
“Since 1920, the vast increase in welfare beneficiaries and the extension of the franchise to women — two constituencies that are notoriously tough for libertarians — have rendered the notion of ‘capitalist democracy’ into an oxymoron.”1
According to Emily Peck, writing in the Huffington Post, Thiel later “explained” his stance by saying “It would be absurd to suggest that women’s votes will be taken away or that this would solve the political problems that vex us. While I don’t think any class of people should be disenfranchised, I have little hope that voting will make things better.”
Thiel doesn’t believe in democracy. His infamous silent backing of Hulk Hogan’s lawsuit against Gawker reflects his belief that the press shouldn’t have the right to say things about important people that important people don’t want said. It’s very likely that Thiel believes that immigration from Mexico just means more votes for the welfare state. As for high-end immigration for Silicon Valley, well, important people like Peter Thiel and Donald Trump can always reach an equitable arrangement in private, away from the ignorant, prying eyes of the many-headed.
The good news is, Thiel, so furious about being outed in 2007, was shouting it, not merely from the rooftops, but the Republican Convention in 2016. And, from what I’ve read, no one vanished in a puff of smoke, so, apparently, God was down with it.

Yes, the election of Warren Gamaliel Harding ushered in an era of greatly expanded welfare benefits. Huh? Sounds like Peter hates women even more than he hates welfare recipients. ↩︎
