Well, it’s a question to be asked, isn’t it? I mean, Netanyahu (and Israel) is always interfering with our elections! And now, so is Putin! I mean, who do they think they are, us?

The fact that Russia hacked the DNC computer network and deliberately released the information to weaken Hillary Clinton’s chances is, clearly, offensive and deserving of punishment. But, absent any proof of collusion by the Trump campaign, it isn’t really the partisan issue the Democrats are trying to make out of it.1 However, the very cozy relationships between Trump, Trump associates, and various Russian bigshots, about which Trump has lied a lot, is very fair game.
Democrats like Clinton and John Lewis look silly when they claim that the DNC emails swung the election. No one but a few thousand Bernie believers gave a damn about the “revelations” that DNC staffers disliked Sanders, who 1) was not a Democrat and 2) would not have had a snowball’s chance in Hell against any possible Republican nominee. However, it is quite believable that Jim Comey’s infamous letter did swing the election. Yes, Putin’s dirty, but is he as dirty as the Republicans? Hard to say.

Not him, because, you know, this is totally different from the not-investigation of Hillary Clinton, about which it would also be inappropriate for him to comment. At this time.
