Well, that is good news, isn’t it? I mean, when the president of the United States sh*ts on the carpet, it’s always a downer. Always! But he didn’t do it this time! He totally didn’t do it! I mean, he barely loosened his pants!
That’s the general take on General Good Trump, who mostly held the stage during El Trumpo’s State of the Union, which I did not watch, thank you very much. Because, frankly, I don’t care what Trump says on any given day. Regardless of what he says, every day Trump is in office he weakens the rule of law, ably abetted by both House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who make Stormy Daniels look like Emily Dickinson. Saying that Trump has done, or at least said, some “good things” is like saying daddy only beats us when he’s drunk.
