What’s the big deal? Trump said he was going to torture women and children, didn’t he? Isn’t keeping his campaign promises a president’s job?
There’s more than a whiff of fascism here—the glorification of brutality. Ruthless? Hell, yeah, we are! That’s what keeps us safe!
It’s “amusing”—amusing in the sense that it makes you want to vomit—that hard-hitting right-wing dude Ben Shapiro moaned a year ago that El Trumpo wasn’t being tough enough on immigration:
“Trump ran for office as a brute. That was his appeal. But the only brutal thing Trump has done thus far is to refuse to take hard and fast positions and demand that Congress fill the gap [on passing immigration ‘reform’].”
Well, now Trump is behaving like a brute. Is Ben happy? NO! It’s all the media’s fault! They’re trying to make Trump look bad, like he’s, you know, a brute! It’s all Obama’s fault too. He should have fixed things, you know, rationally, because this illegal immigration stuff has always been, you know, “fraught with politicking”, and it’s time to stop that. At least when it makes the Republicans look bad. So, in the future, if the media insistis on running pictures of suffering children, they must also explain that it’s all Obama’s fault.
