This is my latest novel, describing the travails and travels of one Hyman Bookbinder, who tires of his life as an all but dissertation Ph.D. candidate in linguistics and decides to join “Alabama Reads”, the brainchild of “legendary” linguist Lester Gomez. Hyman convinces his wife Rachel, already possessing a doctorate, that life in the South will be fun. She’ll get a good job with the Centers for Disease Control and, well, it’ll be fun. Well, CDC wants Rachel, and it’s fun to be wanted, and off they go. After that, of course, life takes a turn, in the form of Jill, who tells Hyman, “You Jews sure have funny names.”
Many thanks to my editor, Jessica Hoefer, who helped me spell my characters’ names correctly, among other things, and to Wailoon Chan, who designed the cover. I Am Jill’s Hyman is available from Amazon in both ebook and paperback formats
