Rep. Paul Ryan, the Republican who would kill Medicare, the man without fear, is sort of wishing that some Republican would do something that he’s afraid to do—run for president.
“It is not too late,” Ryan tells Politico. “Look it is 2011 still. The election is in 2012.”
I give the guy credit. He has the calendar down cold. But who should make the run? Well, Paul thinks that Chris Christie guy is pretty impressive—well, pretty much. Paul’s not going too far out on the limb for Big Chris: “We did talk a couple of times. We know each other, and we have talked a little bit over the phone just about the state of the country.”
So on the basis of that you think that Chris should put his fat ass through the horrors of a presidential primary campaign? Why is that, Paul? Do you think that Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and all the rest—they wouldn’t make good presidents? Even Newt Gingrich? What’s the matter, Paul? Cat got your tongue? And your balls as well?
